I am often given a blank stare when someone asks me why is it that they haven't achieved what they want to in life, and I reply, 'Because you don't believe it can happen!' Then they go into this long explanation telling me they really do want it and all that stuff. But you see, there is a BIG difference between wanting something and actually believing that you will get it.
For instance if you ask someone if they want a million dollars you will get a resounding 'YES', but if you ask them if they believe that they will ever have a millions dollars you will get all kinds of doubt-filled answers. Wanting something isn't good enough; you HAVE to believe that you can get it!
David Schwartz once said, 'Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. Believing a solution paves the way to solution.'
Once you actually believe that you can and will have something, your mind begins to find and formulate ways to achieve it. You see, once you truly believe you can have something the doubts and what-ifs aren't an issue anymore. It's no longer 'if' you can have it but 'how' can I get it. As soon as you start asking yourself the right questions like 'what's the best way to achieve it' and 'how do I overcome any obstacles that I may face', you will formulate a path for success. From now, on don't just want something in life, begin to truly believe that you are able to achieve it and find the way to get it.
