To know ourselves, we must transform the limited surface of our intellect into the multidimensional intelligence of our soul. This is challenging because it requires us to shift our fear-based ego thinking to soul-centered thinking.
Ever ask yourself "What's really motivating my personal brand?" What's the deeper connection? Have I created a personal brand from soul-centered thinking and being -- a personal brand with a multidimensional perspective that reflects who I genuinely am?
My branding philosophy has always been simple -- rather than just deal with the surface, let's get deep into the soul of our brand and create it from the inside-out. Why? Because when others understand the deepest meaning of our brand, they will naturally protect and embrace it. That's why our brand should reflect our authenticity and the many dimensions of who we are, our gifts and what we offer.
Whether we want to accept it or not, we all possess multidimensional aspects of being a human - in body, mind and spirit. However, most of us have not been taught to develop as a multidimensional being. Instead, we were conditioned and taught to be a certain way in the world. Unfortunately, our one-dimensional way of being limits our world of possibilities. It can quickly box us in. That's one of the biggest dangers of having a one-dimensional brand - we can become chained to our own brand and lose focus of what genuinely motivates us from the inside-out.
Recently, a friend and I were discussing our most successful business moments, the moments where everything falls into place gracefully. We both agreed that the first thing that led to our synchronicities was having a clear vision - knowing our purpose and the desire to make a difference in the world. Beyond that, we both recognized that it was our "free flowing" spirits that allowed us to attract synchronous events -- when we consistently expressed our brand from our multidimensional way of being. It's more than just trusting our instincts or knowing who we are - it's embracing that we have the capacity to unfold, blend, express and create our personal brand in more than one way in order to "engage" others in our work - to fulfill our purpose and make a difference..
How do you engage others in your work? How do you express your personal brand in a myriad of ways where others "get" who you are?
To help us -- let's take an imaginary "multidimensional" tour of your personal brand by visiting another world's landscape. Let's allow our mind to see our personal brand through different dimensions. Ready? You'll need a pen and paper to write down what you see on the tour.
Imagine a door in front of you. One that when you open it, it will lead you into another "world" that is your personal brand. However, you are only a visitor in this other "world." You're visiting as an observer - your job is to record everything you see, hear, touch, feel, smell and experience on the tour.
Before you step inside to the other "world", describe the door in detail. Describe its design and materials. What color is it? What is the height of the door? What does the wall surrounding the door look like? Write this down.
Now, go ahead and step inside the door. Once inside, stand there and look around. Describe the "world" beyond that is in front of your view. What are you feeling, what's the atmosphere or mood of this other "world?" As you walk around in this "world", what do you see around you? Write it down.
Start walking around in this "world." Imagine the people living here and describe what they are doing, how they dress, relate to each other, and react to you as a "visitor" to their world. Write out everything you see and experience.
As you're walking around, see yourself headed down a street and stop at a house where your personal brand "lives." Visualize and describe the house design and general appearance, what's around it, what do the grounds look like? How does it feel to stand in front of it? Write down as much detail as you can.
Go inside the house - now describe the interior furnishings and the feel of the place. Keep writing the detail description of as much as you see and experience.
This brand imagery exercise is capable of firing your creative imagination - this opens you to experience more on a "multidimensional" level and helps you connect more to your personal brand. The greater we connect from soul-centered thinking about our personal brand, the more others will develop an authentic perception of who you are - as a multidimensional being. Your brand will reflect you from the inside-out.
