There are two basic ways to handle problems.
1. The traditional confrontational approach where the problem is confronted and a game plan of attack is implemented.
* You are presented with a problem or tough challenge that demands resolution.
* You instinctively challenge it as an obstacle to your progress.
* As you have been taught, you become familiar with all its attributes, characteristics and complexities.
* You will develop a battle plan designed to eliminate the threat.
* It will dominate your attention and tend to dilute other responsibilities and generate anxieties, stresses and worry.
If your are part of an organization, you might be asked to head a "task force" that will focus the collective efforts of others to achieve preconceived objectives. You may have to coordinate outside "expert" consultants, analyze their ideas and assimilate them into your game plan.
This is a confrontational approach that requires intense efforts, and makes you a possible target for ridicule, frustration and possible conflict with others. You will be under constant pressure to meet "impossible" deadlines in addition to maintaining your regular workload.
2. Contrast this with the alternative second approach practiced by one trained in the scientific approach.
* When the problem is presented, you immediately reject it as a power that could defeat you.
* You recognize it simply as a negation of the answer, which is already available to you and understand the scientific rationale for this perspective.
* The law states that no negative problem can exist without there being a positive answer or solution to be negative about.
* You focus your attention on the source of the answer or solution; namely, the natural laws and principles that are, as Webster defines them, "the creative and controlling forces of the universe."
* It is the operation of these impersonal laws and principles that dissolves the problem and/or reveals whatever steps are necessary to fulfill your objective when we allow them full authority in our "search" for the answer.
On the surface, this seems like a "do nothing" approach because it is in such marked contrast to the confrontational efforts of the first approach. It is this quiet, impersonal "listening" that invokes these natural laws and principles. In this quiet mental environment, you have made yourself responsive to everything you will need in order to realize complete fulfillment. It is the LAW!
The beauty of this scientific approach is that the principle is equally effective when applied to "big" problems as it is when applied to "small" problems. It seems more difficult to let go of big problems than smaller ones. But the scientific truth is that neither of them have any power, both are fraudulent suppositions. The light's effectiveness in destroying darkness is independent of how long the room has been dark.
Understanding the laws, principles and logic of this science, you will enjoy a freedom from the pressures imposed when you believed problems were real. We have a built in tendency, when confronted by a problem, to react to it. It is this reaction that initiates the struggle. Train yourself to not react when challenged by a problem. See it as nothing but a shadow that would inhibit your progress and dismiss it as being tantamount to the wake behind the ship: an observable phenomenon but having no power or authority to influence your journey.
About Davis Goss
Over the past 50+ years as a creative consultant, with particular expertise in problem solving, Davis Goss has developed, tested and proven a singularly unique approach to resolving impossible problems to the benefit of a widely diverse client base.
Unlike any other, his discovery is a radical departure from traditionally accepted problem solving methods that are based on academic theory and philosophical abstractions and are devoid of any scientific demonstrable operating principles. His scientific approach is based solely on impersonal, universal, natural laws and principles (defined by Webster as, the creative and controlling forces of the universe) that, by their very nature and definition, assure positive results with predictable certainty.
The logical continuity of these natural laws and principles are delineated in his book, The Science of LIVING BETTER FOREVER available in print form from Amazon or in an expanded E-book version through his website at: www.livingbetterforever.com
